History and chronology of the creation of G4

G4 Institute is recognized historically in France as the world leader in professional training for careers in double competence: Technical and Management (ISMP, 4IM, 4MM and 4TECH).

The story of a CREATION from scratch.
The G4 is above all an encounter between two men, Leopold Cohen and Laurent MICHEL. This meeting is the crossroads of the Owner and the Control of Work, with different problems but converging.
 

• From 2003 to 2004

Leopold Cohen, a graduate of Ecole Centrale de Marseille / MIST (promo 90) and MBA Sciences Po Paris (promo 94) started his career as engine engineer at Peugeot - Citroen. He turned to the strategy consulting at Solving International and consulting organization (Eurogroup), flying missions to support project management on major projects to overhaul information systems. During these experiments, it was faced with a shortage in its teams of young graduates do not master the managerial aspects but also the minimum technical computer to be a credible face the master of work.

Laurent Michel, a graduate school in computer engineering EPITA (Promo 92), 13 years before founding a computer services company Organys, Parisian Society of Project Management Consultants Transverse, in charge of the transverse direction of the project "Mobile Number Portability "Orange (over 1000 players, 10M € budget), then the project" White Zones "at Bouygues Telecom. A need remained unresolved at the time: find young graduates with computer skills, project management communications and marketing, to assist project managers EOM in the exercise of their profession.

Two people, two worlds, a meeting through a mutual acquaintance in 2003 (Laetitia Truchi). A complementary and different, operating in harmony for a year, alongside their respective businesses (mainly nights and weekends), the concept has matured, the outlines are drawn, the curriculum approved by the partner companies :

• From 2004 to 2005

Creation of the first formation of G4: 4IM, Training Managers, Techies, Bac 5, opening of Marseille in the first class of twenty students, all placed in companies for discovering the most alternation in studies higher. A first success with students out of the ordinary, who put their professional future in the Institute G4. The future will give them reason.

• From 2006 to 2008

While the first students are not yet qualified, thanks to the quality of training and recognition 4IM companies, they require the deployment of an identical training but on the field of multimedia. On or creation within the G4 4MM, Multimedia Training-Managers, Bac +5, which will have the same success with students and companies that 4IM: 100% work placement the day of graduation, to making wage blush number of graduates from engineering schools.
In 2008, the Institute G4 decided to broaden its spectrum of training with the creation of ISMP: Superior Engineering Project Management, which trains professionals in the initial cycle (not alternate). Trades prepared: Project Manager, Consultant, IS Security and Multimedia Project Manager.
In 2009, after a response to a national tender of Syntec, the G4 is retained on the Rhone Alpes and PACA, to achieve long training on trades Systems Administrator and Network Administrator. Training 4TECH is created. It is the continuity of the official recognition of the quality of our training by French institutions.

• From 2009 to 2011

After opening of the South, the G4 is part of a national development with the creation in 2009 of the Campus Lyonnais, offering all the courses of the G4 on the Rhone Alps.
2010 is an important year for the G4 with the recognition by the French State in the quality of its training. The title of Project Manager information system is then certified by the State, enrolled in Level I (Bac +5), the NCPR.

• From 2012 to now

After the campus of Marseille and Lyon, the G4 is developing in France. Nantes in 2011, Lille and Paris in 2012, ...
